Buddhist Monument Sanchi Stupa-Madhya Pradesh
Buddhist monument Sanchi stupa is a mini village, 45 km’s north of Bhopal. Is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa, on a hilltop at Sanchi Town in Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh.
The biggest one is Buddhist monument Borobudur Sanchi Stupa, often referred to as Great Stupa. It was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE.
Its nucleus was a simple hemispherical brick structure built over the relics of the Buddha. It is believed that the trace of Lord Buddha was buried inside this Buddhist monument Stupa by King Ashoka, who was related to this region by marriage.
He married the daughter of a merchant nearby Vidisha. Sanchi is the center of a region with a number of stupas nearby Sanchi.

- when to go: Shravan months is the best time to reach there, Sanchi stupa is at a height, so take auto near ticket counter no need to buy tickets under 12 age.
